Those of us with young children know of the increasing role that digital devices play in their schooling and social lives, and we have seen this accelerate with homeschooling and stay-at-home orders. Keeping children safe when online is one of the challenges of modern-day parenting, and it is only growing more challenging.
Navigating the online world is not only growing more challenging for parents, but for everyone with an online presence. It may be challenging to remain up to date with the latest information on e-safety.
This is why I’ve arranged for my colleague, the Communications Minister, the Hon Paul Fletcher MP, to join us for a virtual Zoom meeting. This event is an opportunity for the Minister to discuss the emerging issues around e-safety and how the government addresses them. This online event will also be an opportunity for you to raise your concerns in this area with the Minister directly.
This online discussion is an excellent opportunity for you to engage on this critical topic.
